TDAP journey towards up gradation of textile sector
Textile industry is one of the flourishing industry in Pakistan and it generates good deal of annual revenue for country as well. The need of the hour is to take radical steps to attract international market and investors to invest their talent and innovations in our industry for collective interests and to open a gateway of success not only for our own country but for other countries as well. It not only open new horizons of success but also initiates a productive journey towards best relationship with other countries in different perspectives.
TDAP (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) took the credit of TEXPO organization and in order to give a gigantic and aggravated start to TEXPO-2016, a slight exhibition of the specific sector was held in the Quaid’s city- Karachi. It was inaugurated by Towel Manufacturers Association Patron-in-Chief Mehtab Chawala, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Senior Vice President Khalid Tawab British Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan, John Tucknott, Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan and Rabiya Javeri Agha were also included.
TDAP Secretary Rabiya Javeri Agha added, “For the first time a Textile Sector Texpo 2016 begin organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) which is expected to open new horizons for investors to invest in the textile sector.”
The major purpose of TEXPO is to strengthen business terms between Pakistan’s giant textile exporters and all the importers across the map. TEXPO-2016 would be organized in big 4 halls, accommodating 230 exhibitors from textile industry with great showboat of textile productions, massive exposure of amazing fashion presenting the huge entire string of textile arena at expo center.
TDAP Secretary further added that exceeding textile associations which includes Carpet Association, PHMA, Sports Goods Association, APUBMA, PTEA, PTA, PLGMEA, TMA and PRGMEA have locked in their slots in different halls to display the amazing ethnic, modern and stylish textile products of Pakistan. She further confirmed the existence of many prominent brands which includes Afroze Towel, Hasam Towel, Bil Exporters, Faisal Fabrics, Gohar Textiles, Din Industries, Al-Karam Towel, Bari Textile, Digital Dura Prints, Sitara Chemicals, Mima Leather, Kohinoor Textile Mills, Reshma Textiles, Colony Textile Mills, Mahmood Group, Soorty Enterprises, Gul Ahmad, ChenOne, Shabbir Textile, Fashion Pakistan Council, Master Textile and Sapphire Textile Mills etc have lined up their spaces in TEXPO ,2016.
Not only internal big exhibitors but around 600 international delegates are also confirmed from almost 51 countries and more sanctions are still coming in. Leading International brands like Simmons- The leading US bedding brand, Hertex, Standerton, Polo Africa (South Africa), Super Muffato (Brazil), Apacinti (Indonesia), Septwolves (China), Teddy SPA (Italy), Fifth Factory (Spain), Basic Resources, Green Source (USA), Gargo Way 10, DET 10-10 (Vietnam), Firma Gamma (Russia), B&C collection (Belgium), Shinatomo, ITO-Yokado, Yonex, Marubeni Intex, Marubeni Tex (Japan), Lotte Mart, Shinwon (South Korea) have assured their participation in TEXPO, 2016. TDAP Secretary further informed that British Business Centre of UK Deputy High Commission, which is lined up by British Government to aid mutual trade relationship between Pakistan and UK, sending a delegation of 25 members from UK who will proceed under the supervision of Baroness Nausheena Mubarik.
Commerce minister mentioned the efforts made by Ministry of Commerce and TDAP in market and product miscellaneousness and also submitted that the newly made trade policy structure from 2015-18 would take our overall export sectors to climax.
All the trade representatives hope to take complete advantage in form of new contracts and signing of MoUs with their correspondents, at TEXPO 2016 going to held from 7th of April to 10th of April at Karachi Expo Centre.
